Tip: Today is National Drive-Thru Day! So here's our guide to help you make healthier choices when eating at one of America's 187,000 fast food restaurants. For example, choose McDonald's fries over Burger King's — they have less sodium and saturated fat.

Q: Where can I find fast food nutritional information?

A: Some cities and states require chains to post their caloric information on the menu and their websites. You can also ask to see a pamphlet, which may be behind a counter.

Tip: Celebrate National Grilling Month by throwing some lean meat, fish, and even fruit on the grill.

Q: I'm worried that sauces and marinades will add unwanted calories to grilled food. Should I marinate my meat?

A: Yes. Marinades make grilled food taste great (without many extra calories), and spice-containing varieties can reduce exposure to some of the carcinogens formed during grilling. So, try our light recipes to add flavor, not fat.

Click here to enjoy a decadent chocolate dessert with this simple recipe

Celebrate Chocolate Day With Guilt-Free Decadence

Tip: Substitute dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa) for milk chocolate while baking to get a boost of antioxidants.

Q: Does dark chocolate really help you lose weight?

A: Though two bites of chocolate packs about 50 calories, a recent study found that people who ate dark chocolate had fewer cravings afterward than those who ate milk chocolate. Dark chocolate's bitter taste might help the body regulate appetite.
