Though genetics play a role in developing asthma, there are some risk factors you can control. Q: Is there a correlation between obesity and asthma? A: Breathing problems brought on by extra weight are often misdiagnosed as asthma symptoms, and studies have found that obese children may be more likely to have asthma. Obese people who lose weight may also have fewer asthma symptoms. |
